Functional characteristics of boiler tube fins:
1. Increase heating area: By expanding the external surface area of the tube, fins optimize the pathway for smoke flow between them, which facilitates a more effective transfer of heat to the medium within the tube (primarily steam). This strategic design markedly boosts the heat transfer capacity per unit volume.

2. Improve heat transfer efficiency: The enlarged heating area directly correlates with an elevated heat transfer coefficient. This translates to a more swift and efficient heat transfer process, playing a pivotal role in maintaining optimal boiler efficiency as well as precise steam temperature regulation.

3. Diverse structural forms: Fins can assume various configurations, such as a spiral formation that continuously encircles the steel pipe, secured by high-frequency welding.
