Functional characteristics of boiler tube fins:
1. Increased heating area: The presence of fins dramatically expands the external surface area of the tube. As a result, the heat transfer capacity per unit volume is substantially elevated.
2. Enhanced heat transfer efficiency: A larger heating area correlates directly with an escalated heat transfer coefficient. This results in a swifter and more efficient heat transfer process, which is essential for maintaining boiler efficiency and regulating steam temperatures effectively.
3. Versatile structural forms: Fins can adopt various configurations, such as spiral shapes that continuously encircle the steel pipe and are secured by high-frequency welding for a robust, long-lasting hold.
